Dr. Jeffrey Thompson

Dr. Jeffrey N. Thompson

Dr. Thompson Received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1979. After graduation, he served as a medical officer in The United States Navy, providing medical care for active duty personnel and their families stationed in San Diego, California, Okinawa, Japan, and Portsmouth, Virginia. He completed Dermatology Residency training at the Naval Hospital in San Diego. In 1993, Dr. Thompson opened his own dermatology practice in Murrysville.

As a board certified dermatologist, Dr. Thompson has expertise in the treatment of skin cancer and skin diseases, such as acne, psoriasis and eczema. He maintains a very active continuing medical education program and is a member of multiple professional organizations.

Dr. Thompson has been a featured speaker at several national medical conferences and provides a dermatology lecture series for doctors in training. He is an outdoor sports enthusiast and lives with his wife and children in Murrysville.

Joyce Brun

Joyce Brun, MPAS, PA-C

Joyce graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Greensburg with honors, summa cum laude, obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry in 2011. She continued her education, earning a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from King’s College in 2014. While working towards her degrees, Joyce held various leadership positions through multiple academic honor societies, including: Kings College Division of Alpha Epsilon Lambda-Graduate Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi-National Honor Society, Beta Beta Beta-National Biological Honor Society and Gamma Sigma Epsilon – National Chemistry Honor Society.

Joyce is a board certified Physician Assistant, accredited through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She has specialized in both medical and surgical dermatology since graduation in 2014. Joyce is a Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. In her spare time, Joyce enjoys attending University of Pittsburgh sporting events and spending time with her family, friends and English Bulldogs, Stargell and Parker.

Lucy Cheng

Lucy Cheng, MD

Dr. Lucy Cheng earned her medical degree from the University of California San Diego Medical School and was part of their Medical Scholars Program. She then completed an internal medicine year at New York University Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center and went on to complete her dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Cheng has extensive research experience, including a year-long fellowship at the Howard Hughes Medical Fellows Program at UCLA Dermatology and served as the program’s west coast chair. She has also devoted significant time to providing medical care to underserved populations, working as a free clinic lab manager and coordinating health screenings in San Diego.

Dr. Cheng believes strongly in the importance of educating patients on their skin condition. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and Women’s Dermatologic Society. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading mystery books, and spending time with her dogs.
